Wow, lucky you! I don't even want to imagine what Fish and Chips would do to my levels but I would still be seeing the results in my readings the next day!

For some strange reason potatoes don't hit me to hard, but white bread sends me into orbit, also pasta gives mixed results, but luckily im not a big pasta fan, each to their own I suppose.

It would be the flour in the batter as much as the potatoes which would orbit me.

I had a real strop a couple of weeks ago because we harvested our first new potatoes from the garden and normally I am in heaven just having a plate full of tatties with butter and nothing else. My partner boiled a whole pan full of them and I could only have 3 piddly little ones that rolled around on the edge of my plate looking pitiful and desperately tried to avoid their butter bath. My late Dad always grew the most wonderful tasting potatoes and eating the first of the new crop was such a family . It was a really emotional moment for me not to be able to indulge and enjoy them as I would previously....surprisingly even more of an upset than giving up sweets and chocolate and I was not only a chocoholic but a sugar addict with a very heavy habit.

Had my monthly treat on Saturday night, fish & chips from local chippy, I done a post 2 hour test and was shocked to read 9.9,:( only to see my monitor was upside down and was actually reading 6.6🙂, what a donut🙄

So funny, from horror to delight in a matter of seconds.
