not sure if anyone can help. As most of you know I’ve stopped my NovoRapid and started reducing my lantus. But still getting really good BGL’s as the day goes on my figures drop to the 4’s. Does this show my insulin resistance is very low or could it just be that my metformin is working correctly.

From a T1 perspective 10u of Lantus per day would be a fairly lowish dose.

Average daily insulin requirements for a T1 would vary depending on weight:

40-60kg - 0.3-0.35 units/kg/day
60-85kg - 0.5u/kg/day
85-100 - 0.7-1.0u/kg/day etc.

Hope some of our T2 insulin users will be able to help, but I think it would indicate low levels of insulin resistance, or that your pancreas is still producing enough to manage your diet well.

Congrats on the 4s. Seems like your BGs are often in the non-D range.
