Its a gluconarvii gdh from homehealth ukWhat kind is it? Hard to tell from the picture. Checking the cost of the test strips is the main thing.
Thanks was checking before investing money into it.Its one of the 2 we generally recommend to those that self fund as the strips are one of the cheaper varieties, there isn't really a "best" meter as they all have to fall into the regulations so if that's what you like the look of then that would be fine 🙂 xx
Yeah got the meter, 100 strips and 100 lancets vat free just now, that should see me a while I hope. Though testing 6 times a day (before and after meals) will burn them up fairly quickly. It’s a perfectly good basic meter , ideal imo for those with T2 who have to self fund the ongoing cost of the test strips .
You are entitled to claim vat relief, in the uk we use the mmol/l measurement
I think the most economical way to do it is just to test new foods whilst you’re learning. So if your usual breakfast gives high results, you make a change and a new breakfast works well, you don’t then need to test before and after that breakfast forever but can move to focusing on other meals.Yeah got the meter, 100 strips and 100 lancets vat free just now, that should see me a while I hope.
