my BG levels hit 17 last night this i think is related to the vaccine and i have seen other posts on here with the same problem. only trouble with type 2 there is no quick fix.

i have an appointment with my doctors this afternoon so will see what he says about what is going on.

it will also be a heart tugger as he was my partners doctor and sent a card when i lost my partner so will have to try and keep composed as we could both end in tears.

many thanks for the kind message Inka. the doctor talked about my partner which was a bit tugging for me and knew we had to move on.

we went through my medications not because of cost cutting but due to my medical circumstances changing and was able to remove some items no longer needed as i am due to have some other form of treatment to hopefully resolve things.

didn't save much any way as a new medication has been started at a staggering cost of £100 per box so will have to treat it like gold.

as for the Vaccine and what went wrong he knows from the description what is wrong and they are hoping the treatment i have been prescribed should resolve it, i hope. he told me what it was but they all ways use long medical wording.

i discussed the vaccine a bit more and it seems that my immune system has gone in to overload thus causing different problems including the itching which i described as been attacked by loads of fleas.

people reading the last sentence will probably start scratching at the mention of fleas.

going to be a interesting time medical wise over the next week or so.

Blood sugars looked better last night still high but down from 17 to just above 10.

still having heap problems with the itching was affecting my eye lids along with face and other parts of the body.

That’s a very good improvement @mikeydt1 I hope your sugars stay improved over the next few days. I don’t have any advice about the itching but I hope you get it sorted soon.

many thanks for the praise Inka it perks you up when you hear it from others.

someone is coming to do some blood works as it was suspected that i have had exposure to covid at some point so will see what the results come back like.

at least the itching and reaction is a known with the astra vaccine it is listed in the leaflets they give you just wasn't expecting it to be so bad.

Are you allowed to take an antihistamine for it? Or would calamine lotion help?

the treatment is antihistamine along with using cream where possible.
