Does anyone else experience fewer colds, tummy bugs and even spots when their BG is under control, or am I just weird? In the past I used to suffer badly, to the extent of being blue-lighted to resus several times, but I've barely sneezed in the last year. Sorry if you're feeling rough and deeply jealous while reading this!

You're def not wierd Leelee 🙂

There is a correlation between high BGs and infections....I think its because bacteria (unfortunately for us!) thrive on sugar, therefore the higher the BGs the higher the likelihood of getting an infection, because the bacteria multiply making the infection worse....I hope I have explained that clearly!?

Having high blood sugars 9/10 times will result in more infections and slowness to heal.

Plus if you have an infection it will raise most people's BGs because a body under stress produces Cortisol which is a natural steroid. So you end up with a catch 22 situation.
