When I got up this morning my reading was 9.1.

Decided to try bread again this morning so had a slice of crusty sliced bread, weighed 12g with a fried egg and 1tsp lurpak for toasted bread.

Did my reading 2 hours later and it was 9

Does this mean that it wasn't too bad cos dont really understand as yet the workings of these readings. Thanks:confused:

It suggests that if your waking reading was lower then the result would have been really good.

Might be worth testing at 1 hour to see what's hapenning in between, but a 2hr reading being the same as the pre-meal reading seems pretty positive to me 🙂

Thanks for the reply. Its much appreciated.

Really pleased about that then. Very rarely eat bread these days along with pasta rice and potatoes, etc so its a treat. I have just cut out everything carbwise except veg recently to try and control by bgs as am diet only at the moment.

Have decided to test out small amounts of different carbs to see whether I can eat them or not as cutting out all carbs is very restrictive. Have a food diary and this is my plan from today. Will write everything down that I have and test everything and write these in also for future reference. Am trying to fit diet in with weight watchers and so far have lost 15lb which is good but have long way to go yet. Dont do low fat anything anymore due to high sugar content just have less of the full fat stuff. (Even more so since I have been watching the documentary "The men that made you fat", very interesting).
