ok, so I know I'm quite sad on this front, and have already posted elsewhere on the site abut this, but just wanted to say

SO

VERY

EXCITED!!!!!!

about this weekend (animas sports weekend)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want to be there already - a whole weekend where I do nothing but loads of different sport, and hear from experts talking about it, see real athletes coping with it, stay in a lovely room, having food prepared for me...did i mention the sport??!!?!?!! badminton...rounders.....cardio......FREE use of gym....!!!!! GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH want to be there now!!!

i don't want to come home (don't let the OH hear that)!!!!!!!

:D:D:D

i'd have never know this existed if it wasn't for this forum so thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!

That's really cheered me up to see you so excited about your weekend Dory - thanks!

Hope you have a blast 🙂

Hii Dory - so good to see you so excited.
Can I ask what is Animas sports?

wow it sounds very exciting, I hope you enjoy it and it lives up to all of your expectations🙂

ahh glad it cheered you up Mike. How are your readings?

Lucy - it's a sports weekend for T1s, held at Lougborough sponsored by Animas. A busy schedule of speakers (both medical and sports personalities competing with T1) and sports workshops where you can try out new techniques and learn how to optimise control whilst exercising.

To a sports nut this is like Christmas. but better. 🙂

ahh glad it cheered you up Mike. How are your readings?

A bit wobbly so far this month (see pointless rant thread)... but much improved having reverted to old basal level and tweaked slightly.

Having said that I was 10.4 when I got back from the gym today (usually more like half that!) 🙄

Yes I was reading your thread last night - wondered whether today was a 'good' day so far... from your post obviously not!

well i guess at least this isn't the norm for you and in the grand scheme of things, this is just a short dip in otherwise well controlled D.....gotta see the good side of things I guess. weather's been playing up chroically this month so that may not be helping (a lot of people on here have commented similar thoughts)....

Dory, look out for a lady called Vicki - friend of mine who's going.

Have fun dory 🙂

Wow if I was in pre-shattered hip time I would have jumped at the chance to do that - sounds fab 🙂

Have a great time Dory!

xx

Have fun! 🙂
