Sometime ago a friend gave me an air fryer because it had been passed down to her and she's not into cooking, and I stuck it in my spare room for months. However, recently I've been using it with quite a bit of success. This morning I decided to do a three and a half mile walk and knew that I would be tired on my return, so chopped some organic broccoli, sliced a few green beans, and retrieved some belly pork from the freezer before I left the house. So on my return, for the first time ever, I stuck the strips of belly pork into the air fryer for about 12/15 minutes, and they came out lush, far nicer than being done in the oven. The fat on the outside of the strips was crisp but not hard, and the inner fat and meat soft and delicious. I've done other meats this way with a lot of success, e.g. steak, lamb chops, sausages, bacon, but I think the belly pork wins hands down for taste.

Try chicken thighs - they get a crisp skin but are not dried out.
When the meat is done, keep it warm and cook button mushrooms in the air fryer, in the juice from the meat.

Sounds great, belly Pork is one of my favourites so will have to try that in my Air Fryer. I have done Chicken legs in it they were very tasty and moist. Another thing I have done in the Air Fryer is Jacket Potato and baby back ribs.

John.

Air fryers rock 🙂 It's amazing what you can cook in them. Even reheating sausage rolls, pies or pasties works wonders. (master chef I am not)

@AngelSprings - Give this a go. It's ace! (To be fair, aside from the first time, I don't doing the boiling step. Nor have I ever let it dry in the sun - if I could find any.)

This is also good with lamb, chicken, or ribs. The marinade/coating is super-simple, delicious and freezes well. I'll often make a batch, using some and freezing some for another time: https://cookpad.com/us/recipes/2609649-tandoori-lamb-chops

Air fryers are fab.

John, I've never tried doing a jacket potato in an air fryer. How long did you give it? And what are baby back ribs? I've heard of pork ribs, rack of lamb, but not baby back ribs.

AndBreathe, I'll have a go at the Thai Moo Grob when I'm in the mood for experimenting. Sounds good.

Many thanks.
