Having a lazy but naughty dinner tonight. Got a ready meal chicken balti, aloo saag, bahjis, samosas, poppadoms, chapattis & wild rice. Plus a cream filled choc muffin for pud. Calculated the carbs to be around 150g in total.😱

Good for you, sounds delicious 🙂
I would have to take an insane amount of insulin to cover such a feast 😱

I'll jump in the spa afterwards. It's brilliant at lowering blood sugars.:D

Just imagine though Mark, 150g of carbs per meal is probably quite common for a lot of muggles, who take their endocrine system entirely for granted 😱 Hope you enjoyed it and didn't suffer BG-wise too much! 🙂

It is quite shocking when you add up the carbs in an average everyday meal. Anyway, no damage done as I did take preventive measures. Had a dip in the spa for an hour & the result 2 hours after eating was 7.0!:D

So glad you enjoyed it and there were no repercussions. Isn't it nice to have a treat sometimes? Wish my HbA1c was 35, well done 🙂

Thanks, happydog. My next HbA1c isn't due til October. If I am still 35, then I think there machine has broken.😛

Jumping in the spa lowers your bg? How come? 🙂

Amigo has it right. I think the bubbles help too.

Good for you for being naughty🙄 not that you do this too often or ...erm...do you?
So if i go overboard with the carbs Mark, can i visit you just to jumpo in your spa or hotto-tub plz? By the way great to see you posting again, you've been missed - keep em posts a-coming!

No, I don't make a habit of it, though I have noticed these days that I can handle more carbs than I used to, so I usually have a treat once a week.

Sounds like youre managing your D very well - but treats only once a week? That IS good control. I too manage my D much better these days tho I admit I went on an all out binge😱 after my HbA1c result of 32 - so not the greatest of ideas! I must get back on track again🙂
This is a very interesting link Amigo - thank you for sharing it. x
