The last 2 nights I've been hypo at bedtime but sadly I've no idea why and how do I put and end to them? Bear in mind that I've made a change this morning and changed my breakfast ratio from 1:10 to 1:8 to try and stop lunchtime hypers. Any help is appreciated

Maybe your tea ratio is slightly off as well but I'd be wary of changing more than one thing at a time but it could also just be the heat xx

Thanks @Kaylz and for thinking of another couple of reasons why. I'm not going to change anything else for maybe 1 week now what do you think? I'm off to Chester on Friday until Tuesday so meal times will probably change slightly, eating out, having maybe sausage sandwich for breakfast instead of my usual 'boring' 2 rounds of toast etc.

If you’re going away, I’d definitely not make any more changes until you get back. I would make sure you tested lots though and had plenty of hypo treatments and snacks with you.

Thank you @Inka definitely no more changes until I'm back home. I'll make sure I've got plenty of jbs and snacks with me. I test on waking, before meals and bedtime (approx 4 hours after tea so I can get more of an accurate bgl and due to maybe needing a bedtime snack) - when you say to test lots what other times would you do?

I’d test 2 hours after tea as well @mum2westiesGill You could then have a few extra carbs if needed and hopefully ward off the bedtime hypo. When you’re away, if you’re out and about walking or shopping, I’d also do some extra tests then. Not to correct or anything, but just to keep an eye out for any approaching hypos.

Don't forget that I do finger pricking / bgl testing and not sensor testing so wouldn't be able to see any approaching hypos but at least I could check that levels are still ok at the test time.

I hadn’t forgotten 🙂 I finger prick too. That’s what I would do. If you don’t want to or can’t, then don’t feel you have to🙂
Our poor fingers - for me though I didn't get on with the sensor method and I really don't mind finger pricking which is a good job after 30 odd years lol
