Hello everyone, I'm a newbie today.🙂

Diagnosed with T2 diabetes in mid 2014 after feeling pretty grim for about 3 years previously! Day after diagnosis immediately went on a diet and lost over 15k in a few months but need to shed about another 5kilos. I take Metformin x 2 per day. I have other health issues as well so it can be a bit of a juggling act sometimes to stay on the straight and narrow food wise. I do cook everything from scratch and have recently cut out carbs like bread potatoes, pasta and rice so tend to go the protein route with veg, chicken fish and nuts etc. My downfall at times is a sweet tooth... still working on that one! I notice wheelyRachel that you like grapes... I was told that it's best to avoid white and red and stick to black which I do. I also eat pears but not apples, sometimes half a banana at breakfast with blueberries and yogurt.
