Hi,

We've noticed that we are getting some new members asking very non-specific questions (i.e. not in the least diabetes-related). They also share no information about themselves and don't usually introduce themselves in the Newbies section (that might require them to show some knowledge of diabetes). They all share common attributes and I suspect the aim is to post innocuous things then return later to edit in links to websites.

I don't think they are malicious in intent, but just using the forum to bump up their search engine ratings by seeding links into posts. I'd suggest if you see a post that fits the above criteria, don't respond to it until you see a response from a moderator, which means we've checked it out.

Thanks for that one Northerner, I did see one such post today and questioned it in my own head but still replied .🙄
