The group of parents that we did our NCT course with are holding a BBQ to celebrate the second birthday of all our children (roughly, there is +/- 1 month in it).
It's been suggested that we have a BBQ this May day, the host is providing the meat and the rest of us provide a dish, dessert or side to go with the meat. One person is making a pudding, another a potato salad, someone is doing the bread rolls.
My wife pointed out that we should probably provide something that I can eat, since otherwise I'll only be eating meat (I can live with that). I've suggested that we take a selection of cheese and pickles.
What else goes well with BBQ chicken/burger/sausage? Possibly something salad but also interesting!
