12 7.1
Couldn't ask for any better so Basal rate is holding me nicely .

Quick Question though the other day and today my pump alarm went off and said no prime no deliver so I just took out went to prime Insulin came out OK filled cannula and connected Is there a reason for it doing this I checked cap was on securely and it seemed fine.
thanks

Hi
Not sure about your question, but great basal results. Well done!:D

Hi Marier, it its the animas pump I'm reasonably sure it alarms for a pass time.

Hi, if I'm reading you correctly and it's just because you've gone over your max time set in without pressing a button....it's just the pump doing its safety check that you're still alive and conscious. By giving it a little prime, you're telling it you're ok & it can start delivering again. But you don't need to refill the cannula, that's only when you first put a new one in to fill the space between the introducer needle and teflon cannula. So just a unit or 2 of priming is all you need to say 'hello pumpy, yes I'm ok'.

Well done on your results! Good feeling 🙂

When the pump gets it's knickers in a twist a full rewind is required. I don't change the cartridge just use what's in the one in use.
My old pump until I turned all alarms off used to alarm if no button pushed after 12 hours. I would then press the OK button pump was happy no problems Then 3 hours later it would go into over drive demanding a full rewind and prime.
Last month the vibe alarmed demanded I called animas over it so did as per instructions on screen. They weren't concerned about it and just said if it did it 3 times in a month it's a nuisance so would replace it then. It also alarmed at a hospital apt telling me no delivery I and no one else heard the alarm for well over an hour as so faint with the skins on it. The pump was obviously working fine and delivering insulin as obvious by my blood sugars.

So it's an animas pump thing it likes to alarm 🙄 People on the USA forums mutter at the ping pump alarming that's a 2020 to us.

Hi Marier,

That's a great set of basals you have there.

I'm in the process of trying to iron out my dawn phenomenon with my animas vibe this week and today's looking not too bad.

23:20pm last night 5.7

06:00 - 5.1
07:00 - 5.4
08:00 - 7.3
09:00 - 7.7
10:00 - 6.9
11:00 - 7.2
12:00 - 7.0
13:00 - 6.9

The slight rise between 7 + 8 happened yesterday as well but I'll check tomorrow's to get a 3rd to make sure it's consistant before upping the appropriate basal.

After that it's time to conquer the afternoon basal and then the world!!

Derek
