What would make it easier would be a twice daily basal or an additional bolus (meal) insulin @Lisa65 It would depend what they’re willing to give you and how many injections you want to do.
I'm really struggling recently with Sleep Apnea and Sleep Paralysis, I have only started to use a combination of Insulins recently that I think might be cause me to have episodes whereas before when I was taking Lantus and NovoRapid I had no issues. Now I'm taking Abasaglar and Trurapi and these events are accruing more often, If I take the Lantus and the Trurapi I am fine, but the other types whenever I have taken them together it's like I'm having a seizure or a stroke. I never thought to question this until recently. Anyone else experienced similar?

Welcome @justjack1994 🙂 You’re asking a different question here. My first thought is could you be having hypos overnight? Do you have a Libre?

If it’s the Abasaglar that you think is causing you issues, ask to be swapped back to Lantus.

Have you been diagnosed with sleep apnoea?

Welcome to the forum @justjack1994

Sorry to hear you are having a strange reaction with some combinations of insulin.

Does your prescription specify brand name (eg Lantus), or is it only listed under the generic name (eg glargine and aspart).

If you’ve found that the odd feelings only happen with certain ‘biosimilar’ formulations, it would be worth asking your Dr to update your prescription to the specific brand names of insulins you can use without getting these events.

Generic formulations are very similar, but they aren’t necessarily identical to other brands, and we’ve had members in the past who found that certain biosimilars acted noticeably differently for them than the brands they were used to.

I’ve split your question away from the earlier thread, so that replied to you don’t get muddled with the earlier conversation 🙂

Have to agree with the comment on biosimilars. For myself, I had problems with Abasaglar, but found Lantus OK.
If you are not using a continuous measurement system, I suggest you get one to try. You can get a single free one from Abbot, the Libre2+, or the Libre3. It may well be that you are going hypo or close to hypo, and not realising it.
