Hi, I am a Type 2 on Insulin. Started insulin relatively recently and it was was very sudden and a wee bit rushed. I am reading a lot and trying to educate myself. I am on Levemir and Novorapid. Still trying to get my basal levels correct. Without eating or taking novorapid, what is a good level that my bs dhould be? The examples I have read seem quite high. Thanks
 
Basal should keep your levels stable. In the absence of NovoRapid, there is no target level. The target is not to go up or down in the absence of other things that affect blood sugars such as NovoRapid or food or exercise or sickness or stress or …

Staying at 10 is not ideal but your basal is not used to bring it down. That is what NovoRapid is used for.
