Basal injection site bleeding, is that an issue?

Had a "fun" day managing my T1D yesterday, and on injecting my basal I bled just a little from the injection site.
I'm assuming this means I didn't inject into sub C fat and does this mean my basal might get into my system faster than normal?

If it only bled a little bit, you probably hit one of the little capillaries that run through the subcutaneous fat, it happens with me from time to time, I get a little bruise, but it doesn’t make any difference to the insulin absorption.

Hope the dose worked out OK @Skater P

Occasional bleeders seem to be par for the course with SC injections. If they start to happen more frequently, perhaps it would be worth chatting through injection technique with your clinic?

im a t2 on insulin and i get ocassional bleeding not a lot just a little spot mentioned it to my nurse who said nothing to worry about
