ypauly thats the pub

I am disappointed that it's a weatherspoons as I like them but perhaps we can send them our meet up information and show them what good customers us diabetics are.

Maybe even go to the head office.

I can make a noise, create scenes and generally be a pest but what would be better is somebody who could put some thing nice together to send to them for you but from us.

With my moderator hat on, we'd probably better not say anything that might get anyone into trouble. I think a letter to head office would be more appropriate really 🙂

That's what I was thinking, can we show them that weatherspoons has been the pub of choice for the forum for a number of years?

Oh and what a valued member it was that got turned away.

Well i have to say i've never been so shocked in my life that takes the biscuit really does.😱

All i can say if that pub was in birmingham i would have to be dragged out :D

If i recall when we was in oxford poor diane got poorly and the staff was awesome there and couldn't do enough for her.

I think you should definately send head office a letter if only to get an apology, because that it was you deserve. And to be honest if they are that pathetic in there they don't deserve your custom.

Aaawww gail sorry to hear that, thats a horrible way to be treated. Is that the pub you normally have your Sunday lunch in?

Just a thought, was it actually the hypo that made you sick, or the pub food/drink...................?

It's their loss gail, companys like taking peoples money off of them, but if there is a problem, well its a different story.

Take care with lots of love Sheena xxxx

Yup good point YPN the couple were great especially the lady she was getting Di drink and all sorts making sure she was in a quiet spot in pub etc etc ...

And it turned out to be 'Pebbles' in the end too!

What a piece of nonsense Gail 😡 what a disgraceful way to treat customers. (((Hugs)))

I'm pretty sure this breaks the Disability Discrimination Act. The police wouldn't be able to do anything, I think it's Trading Standards that you need to contact.

It might be worth putting a complaint in writing first, and mentioning that you are considering reporting them to Trading Standards, to give them the chance to put things right first, if you're feeling charitable.

I think I would feel duty bound to follow this up if it was me, rather than just withdraw my custom, as this might prevent them from doing it to someone else.

I'd write to the pub manager and the brewery. It is not your fault Gail and they need to be more consdierate and sensitive. If I was feeling really vindictive I'd blame teir food and tell everyone about it, including the local papers and the licencing committee
