doctor put me on Metformin but due to stomach problems he prescribed Balomyn 500 mg. there are no side effects but I swear my readings have gone up drastically! He says he knows they won’t work but take them anyway .

I am so confused I am thinking of paying for a private consultant for advice. All my tests have come back as good, no problems with anything. I am worried taking pills will make my health poor. Normally my readings are between 13-17, but now 15-25.

If been on the Balomyn three days now.

That is is just a slow release version of metformin that many tolerate better than the standard version.

Is it the same as Metformin though, in that you don't see any effects from it until you've been on it a few weeks?

How long does Bolamyn SR need to be in your system before you see your glucose readings fall? At the moment I think they are raising !
