If you become a member of Diabetes UK you get it automatically.
I don’t know whether you can purchase it separately.
I will tag @Gwen Diabetes UK who may know.

I no longer receive it as I found it of increasingly less interest. However, I am.sure it is sold in the larger Smith's by the diet/health magazines. A number of libraries also hold copies.

Good to see the article identifying the less common types of Diabetes.
Well laid out with useful info boxes.

Recipes for my forthcoming ‘cooking week’ sorted

Thanks Balance

Hi everyone, apologies for the delay in getting back to you all, I was on leave for a week. Unfortunately it's not possible to purchase it separately, sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(

My complaint about Balance is the almost complete absence of discussion about Type 3c Diabetes. It is now more commonly diagnosed than Type 1, and for some while one regular contributor, Arthur Smith, resolutely described himself as Type 2 following his near death experience with acute pancreatitis. It's almost as though the condition is such a rarity, when it clearly isn't. For sure, DSNs and GPs are ignorant of the condition and its treatment, and DUK aren't exactly helping to bring it to public consciousness. It's ridiculous.

I had a similar problem with the lack of acceptance of LADA (plus the poor diet advice) a few years back and resigned from DUK in protest. I hope DUK/Balance has moved on a bit since then?

There is a small article on differnt types in the current edition.

I stopped my membership over a decade ago because despite repeated requests I kept getting phone calls asking me to donate to DUK. This was a third party organisation DUK had hired. I also had my fill of "chuggers" in central London and elsewhere!
