I don't know if it's all the excercise dad is doing but he is complaining now he is hungry even though he is having a good breakfast/lunch and dinner.
He didn't have a sweet tooth but I have a feeling he would like something to have after dinner instead of yoghurt. I have modified a oat-pancake recipe made without sugar or flour which he has with coffee and really enjoys with coffee in the mornings.
Is there anything I could use to combine granola to make into bars without too much impact as I am more afraid than he is.
I tried peanut butter cookies but couldn't get them right as I left out sugar, they seemed to be dry.
I found recipes for muffins and biscuits but they use a little sugar/sweetener one even uses white flour. He wouldn't eat lots of them but I know he would eat them after his dinner which is why I would worry about too many carbs.
His diabetes review is 8th November so I don't want to upset all the work we have done yet he is hungry and I feel I should be baking something for a treat yet don't want to be giving dad a harmful treat
wee bit upset as I try very hard it's only recently dad keeps ting he is hungry.
His readings have been fine sometimes 4's but mainly in the 5's after his walk highest of recent weeks hardly ever above 6 but we only test in the evenings. the only time he is higher in the 6 marks is after rice and we have stopped pasta as he needed to much of this to fill him up. Last night after dinner 5.9
Thanks if anyone can help
