Hi
Just wondering what low carb baking books you find good? I haven’t much of a sweet tooth thankfully but would be nice to enjoy cake for hubby and step son’s up coming birthdays, I usually get asked for sponges or cupcakes or steamed puddings so tend to fill with things I don’t like so I don’t cheat but last time hubby got upset I was not joining in? There’s some nice ideas of the DUk page but nothing they would eat, have you any suggestions before I upset hubby again? I do love to bake so keen to try things a bit different but can’t get almond flour or other expensive options locally as next to no choice nearby but can order online.
Thanks in advance.

The recipes on the website sugarfreelondoner are very popular, no need to spend money on a book you may only use occasionally as you may need to buy ingredients you may not have like ground almonds (almond flour) which is used in quite a few of the recipes.

@Martin62 posts pictures of his bakes usually from that website. They look delicious.

Thank you will take a look, I think I might have a battle on my hands as neither of others like healthy things, saw vegetable brownies that look good, be interesting to see if they noticed… neither could tell the difference between veggie mince and beef… I normally don’t hide anything I just make for me and they can taste and help themselves if they like it…

I'd try the veggie brownies. Several people I know have tried some that another mutual friend makes and they all thought they were lovely. OTOH I did think to myself that mmm - wheat flour IS vegetarian!

Thank you, I do think they will be the easiest to ease into their day, luckily they both know I am not a big fan of brownies so can eat minimal amount, i am kind of annoyed at them for the pressure but is both their birthdays so the chat will happen a few weeks later on.
