HOSPITAL staff swapped patients and wards for shoppers and aisles as they got busy fundraising for a special appeal.
Customers calling in at the Nuneaton branch of Sainsbury's could have their bags packed thanks to helpers from George Eliot Hospital.
Members of the Diabetes Care Team were also on hand to test people's blood sugar levels to see if they had the disease. The event was staged as part of moves to raise ?2m to build a new Diabetes Education and Research Centre.
The new build, which will be located on the hospital site, will specialise in providing state-of-the-art care to patients as well as providing facilities for education and cutting edge research.
