Protein in Urine gone sky high so Dr has requested an emergency appointment with Local Hospital for Ultra sound scan on my Kidneys. Dr has added Glimepiride 2mg once a day to my prescription.

Glimepiride 2mg
Metformin 750MG M/R Tabs (Glucophage SR) - 750mg (am) and 1500mg (pm)
Sitagliptin 100MG

Ack! Sorry to hear this Steve :( Hope it's something they can sort out quickly for you.

I hope it is something that can be sorted out quickly and it is only a minor infection...

Sorry to hear your news OH :(

Hope you get some good news/reassurance after the tests.

Back in 1986 I had a polyp in my right ureter, (tube from kidney to bladder). The ureter was replaced by a plastic tube. Since that time my right kidney has been enlarged but my Dr reckons that has nothing to do with Protein increase.

Well it's a certain fact it warrants some further investigation - like the others I hope it turns out to be nowt serious.

Trouble is you don't know if you're on your arse or your elbow with D and concurrent infections/inflammation - which came first, the chicken or the egg?

By the way my Dr has told me to increase my testing from once or twice in six months to once or twice a month. Whoopy! Woo! 🙄

Think I'll stay with my self imposed daily pre breakfast testing. Can't afford to buy anymore strips for more testing. :(
