Well l start back work tomorrow after shielding since Covid hit us.I wasdiagnosed T2 the week before Covid hit so I have no experience of preparing my medication or preparing food for eating at work that suits my new eating habits.I usually test before breakfast and before my evening meal.As I will be up and about before 6am my timings
are going to change.Ive decided to test about 12 noon as I am worried about my day being longer and the changes this may bring on.I work in a bakery so my discipline is going to be tested. Before I was diagnosed I had a sweet tooth so having a cake here and there didn’t matter to much but now it’s a different ball game.Over the last 4 months I’ve avoided all temptation so hopefully I can keep it up.Looking for a few tips to keep my bloods in check during a long working day.

Good luck with your return to work @Jamie M

Change can be tricky to manage, but it sounds like you have done really well at establishing a good routine during lockdown (when some people have found temptation very difficult to resist!). I am sure you will be able to adapt and adjust to the new shape of your week.

If your role in the bakery is physical, you may find the increased activity helps!

Let us know how you are getting on 🙂
