Seeing as my hba1c is up and another tablet added to my collection I'm going back to basics.
I haven't been testing as much as I used too, so it's back to testing before and after food. I'm also keeping a food diary again. I'm gonna start looking at packets more closely than I have been recently.
I've got to have blood tests in 6 months instead of the usual year.
I want to get my hba1c back down again and hopefully lose a bit more weight in the process.

Good luck Stitch, think most of us are pretty much in the same situation regarding higher levels but the stress of the current situation hasn't helped any of us, just do the best you can with the area's you can have a say in xx

That is what I have done in the past and readjusted where necessary.

Hope it goes well @Stitch147

Keep us posted 🙂

One week of new meds and back to basics.
Have written down everything I've eaten. Testing more than I have been, even purchased a libre sensor. Have been avoiding all the naughty bakery stuff that gets put in the staff room at work.
Pharmacist is ringing me next week to see how I've been getting on with new medication.
Fingers crossed I can get my hba1c down by July.

Well done @Stitch147 - sounds like you’ve been doing amazingly.

Hope the new med works out well, and everything crossed for your July A1c 🙂

I missed your original post @Stitch147, sorry that your hba1c has crept back up. I'm sure you will get it down before your next test. That naughty bakery stuff is a nightmare isn't it. Our nurses all have a v sweet tooth and their room is always chock a block with cakes, biscuits and chocolate. I just thank goodness I'm working from home most of the time. Best of luck 🙂
