back on antibios

its only some 4 weeks since i had 2 courses of antibios due to very bad sore front tooth ...now im on it again penicillin this time due to weeping ear ...
they 've been itchy for a few days and i used the ear calm stuff but the morning it was pouring fluid ....gp says ear drum is fine but thinks ive developed some eczema
inside my ear and its infected ....GRRRRRRRRRR painful so ive taken some codeine
and ibuprofen and waiting for it to kick in ......
i am getting really fed up of always getting infections !!!!
 
I hope you feel better soon. having had a couple of ear infections I know they are painfull. Even in warm weather I still have to protect my ears from draughts or getting cold.

I'm sorry to hear it am, it must be very frustrating and wearing. Hope it clears up quickly. 🙂
 
Sorry to hear you're both in the wars. Ear and teeth are the most distracting of places to get ailments.

thanks for your concern ...i just seem to roll from one thing to the other at the moment ..bs is still fine tho i just hate the antibios :(

I know how you feel too. i''m on antibiotics for suspected tonsilitis, felt like i was trying to swallow a golf ball yesterday! remembering to take antibiotics 4 times a day is the hardest, been taking them at meal times to make it easier. My stomach has also been feeling funny and not sure if thats a side effect.

Advice from me..... just try and keep your spirits up as best you can.
treat yourself to something nice like watching your favourite film or having a nice relaxing bath! x
 
thanks fran ...you poor thing too ...my ear is just totally bung up its making me feel all lopsided :( ...as for doing my favourite things ..haha fine chance in my household !!😱:D hugs back xx

I had antibitics 4 times a day for a chest infection. Antibiotics are known to cause upset tummies. One lot I had made me so ill it was worse than what I'd got the (bad word) things for in the first place.

There seems to be an awfull lot of bugs going round at the minute. I hope everyone is feeling better and gets over their bugs and pains soon.

ahh thanks carole ..ive been following your holiday on fb looked great ...

caroline i hate antibios and these are huge great big blue ones 4x day ...on empty somach or 1 hr before food 😱
 
they sound like horse pills to me, never good to my system if you know what I mean!

Mine were bright yellow, looked like rejects from a tube of smarties...
 
thanks ...yep caroline i got the blue smarty misfits ...or remember that licorice bomb shaped sweetice in the licorice allsorts ...came in blue or pink thats what they are like😱
 
Ah, is that Flucloxacillin? I think we get most of ours in capsules. I've never quite worked out why antibiotics all come in wacky colours, coz it's not just the tablets, the liquids are all violent flourescent shades too..Except of CO-Amoiclav, which is a boring shade of white...
 
thats the one rachel ....hope they start kicking in soon as this blocked ear is begining to get me down ...im so glad i decided to see GP yesterday tho as the discharge has been green today ....
i am so lucky with my surgery i phoned at 3pm and was seen at 4.20 ...i saw the gp i like.. who has just finishes his training post and is now a fully fleded GP and leaves next week ..he was the one who prescibes my strips no problem ...congratulates me on maintaining my 6.4 HbA1C ...and helped me so much when my son was unwell last year ...he fully supported me when the EWOs were queirying my sons absenses from school because of asthma and when my son broke his hand and thought he wouldn't play music again.. when my son discovered a lump in the place all men hope they will not find one ....whoever gets him as their GP will be lucky ...
so i trust his judgement putting me on these pills ...but boy they are not making me feel good :(
 
and again another course has been prescribed as ear started flaring up again and an anti bio ear spray ....im not a happy bunny :(
 
Hope the local approach of ear spray, as well as systemic antibiotics (capsules / tablets) will do the trick. Would be worse with big bunny ears 🙂
 
hahaa copepod that made my laugh !!! thanks ...im not happy with taking even more anti bios but hey ho..... if these dont work my mum thinks i should ask to see a specialist ....i just want it to stop and NOT come back :(
