Went along to see my gp this morning following on from my hospital appointment.
He read the letter from the specialist whilst I was there and we discussed the different options that were recommended.
I am now back on Metformin (maximum dose) as well as gliclizide and empagliflozin.
What the dr has done is split my empagliflozin dose and I'm on a combined emapgliflozin and metformin tablet (Empagliflozin 12.5mg and metformin 1000mg). One in the morning with breakfast alongside the gliclizide and one in the evening with dinner.
All my tablets, up until today, were taken in the morning, so the hope is taking something with me evening meal will help with my waking levels. Fingers crossed.
He wants to see me again in October for a review.
So watch this space.
