Hi all,

Just wanted to check in - I've been trying to catch up on all the posts but there were ten pages!

Had the really special family wedding a week ago, which was a lovely day and I'm so proud of my nephew (the groom) who lost his dad (my brother in law) in July at just 48 :( Everyone did really well to ensure the wedding was a happy occasion, and that we remembered him fittingly.

Stayed in the hotel overnight, then whizzed home to pick up suitcases and additional child to go down to a friends' caravan in Selsey for the week. Had a great time, ate, drunk and was merry! (Ate and drunk excessively for the first time in 4 months!). Weather wasn't great but you can't have everything. I'm now sweating off the weight gain (only 1 and a half pounds but feels like 7) by doing 2000 loads of laundry!

Hope you all have a great bank holiday weekend. My lovely Shopaholic friend has gone away this week and I'm very proud (again) as she's knowingly staying in Dartmouth in a flat which is situated atop a 1:3 gradient hill! 92 steps to the accommodation no less. I did receive a text saying she'd made it (hot and sweaty but alive!) but even 3 months ago she wouldn't have even considered going there because of the climb despite it being a free holiday as it belongs to her sister!

Two of my highlights of the last week must have been the ability to shop for clothes in the 'designer outlet village' and also the text I received from a friend I haven't seen in a while - he'd seen a couple of the wedding photos on Facebook and sent me one word....'Skinny!!' 🙂

Bye for now
Jane xx

Terrific Jane! Great to hear you sound so upbeat and buzzing! Sounds like you had a great time, and to only put on a pound and a half is fantastic! Just goes to show that it doesn't have to be a constant grind - if you put in the work most of the time then you can have the occasional 'day off' (or week off if you've been especially good!).

Well done to Shopaholic too - send her our congratulations on taking on the hill! 🙂

Thats great Jane lovely to have you back hun x
