I checked on the Aldi packet of normal size Eclairs and they are 18 .

Sainsbury’s (4 pack) come in at 10.5g per eclair. ASDA (4 pack) at 8.4g per eclair.

Only checked the Aldi ones as I happened to be in there on Monday they only sell the normal size ones.

Thanks again everyone. Good to know about the (mini) eclairs hehe!

I've got a testing monitor arriving tomorrow, and I'll start to track against the food I eat. Having just started on Trulicity though, that won't be a problem. I haven't eaten more than a carrot stick, some chia seeds and a cup of broth since Sunday. So nauseous! I am trying to settle this down so I can so things sensibly!

You're all so supportive.
Welcome back to the forum Vee.

You have made the first step in response to your bad news and are clearly wanting to get things back on track. Well done.

As others have said it is the total carbs, ignoring whether it is sugar or not, that is the important information. Even this is not always set out clearly, and the press and radio reports do not help make this clear when they talk about the problem with ‘sugar’. (Grrr I spend some time shouting at the radio).

You have been given some useful links to look at. One thing that can help is simply to start working out how much carbs you are eating at any meal. You may be surprised, and also you start to get to know this info.which is essential for managing your Diabetes. Then you can start to reduce the total, by eliminating things, swapping things and also reducing portion sizes.

Keep in touch and keep asking questions.
