Teams and individuals working in diabetes care in the UK were last night recognised at the fourth Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes awards.
As with the previous three QiC Diabetes award evenings the event took place at the Guildford, Surrey headquarters of awards partner Sanofi and recognised leading practice in diabetes management, education and patient care from across the country.
Successful teams included the Diabetes Modernisation Initiative, which won two awards - Best cross-organisational partnership and Best CCG/LHB/network initiative - for its work with NHS partners in Lambeth and Southwark to improve diabetes care in South London.
