Bit of a shock but I’ve had a degree of blurred vision for a while so something was definitely brewing.
I had my retinopathy eye scan a while ago and that was all clear. The cataracts have been picked up via a routine eye test at my opticians. I have them in both eyes but worse in the right eye. Neither are bad enough to warrant further action at the moment though.
This isn’t a ‘woe is me’ pity post - I’ve already given my head another good wobble, it’s more about warning anyone else who may be experiencing vision issues to definitely get your eyes checked.
I’m also now taking my ‘dry eye’ issues more seriously. I was told to use eye drops a long time ago but as usual, I knew best and figured it didn’t really matter. Dry eyes, combined with a cataract kind of makes an eye test virtually impossible I discovered!!
Diabetes is the gift that keeps on giving it would seem but it’s also teaching me how to look after myself much better
