Hi everyone, I've changed my avatar to show me in a pair of trousers which used to be tight! I've hit my 4st weight loss but the battle has just begun. I'm now facing potential complacency, although my next hba1c test on Thursday may change that. I've got my fingers crossed.

I hope you guys will keep me on an even keel and if I need it, remind me that this is for life now. The way I eat, the exercise and my whole outlook have changed so please keep me strong. Thanks so much for all your support so far, I think I can honestly say I couldn't have done it on my own xx

Wow @Vonny that's a terrific achievement! Well done, I'm sure that getting there has had it's challenges but you have coped and overcome them, and I'm sure that will continue to be the case for you. You know what to do, and have proved that you can do it.
There are likley to be ups and downs ahead though. I have managed to maintain a reasonable weight and blood glucose levels for around 6 years now, but there have been many lapses along the line. The main thing is to try and not let them last to long, and don't indulge in self-blame - just write it off and get back to the good habits that you know will work.

Very best wishes for the good times ahead.

Well done! I think I've been a bit complacent during the lockdowns (and quite fed up at times), but I agree that the support found here is invaluable. Perhaps we could all do with a boost of encouragement during the current climate, so here's to us, the noble members of this illustrious forum - cheers!

That's a great photo @Vonny & sure to help keep you on the straight & narrow. I like reading your posts, they're full of good advice so I'm sure you'll be up to the challenge if needs be! Sometimes we know all the theory but it's just trying to get into the right headspace to put it into practice. Good luck with your next HbA1c.

I think you’re not alone with that Pine Marten.

Wow @Vonny. Well done for all your hard work. 🙂 :D That’s brilliant!

Well done Vonny, losing weight isn't easy and it's a great achievement. I keep a before and after photo from my weight loss to remind me how far I have come.

Well done. It's hard work, but you prove it is possible.
My husband is nearly at his goal weight, about 6lbs to go. This last stone has been the hardest bit actaully. I am so happy he has done it, as he was about 5 stone too heavy.
You should be very proud of yourself.

Wow! that’s amazing.

You should feel very proud of your achievements, and that iconic shot really shows what a difference that weight loss has made.

Fantastic @Vonny

Well done!

I'm so pleased for you and really impressed. I wish I could do it. 🙂
