hi all just a quick question I’m finding it hard for snacks and was just wondering if peppers and Humus is ok and if any of you have any other snack ideas that’s not going to send bg through the roof
Thanks

As has already been said you will have to try it and see if its ok x

You asked if it was ok, only you can be the judge of that and there were good suggestions for snacks on the other thread yesterday x

Peppers are fairly low in carbs. You can look this up quite easily for any foods if you Google "carb content of peppers" for example.

Yes there were good snack ideas but wouldn’t want to eat the same thing on a daily basis it’s nice to change it up a little so just though some other people may have some new ideas that’s all . And yes was asking about peppers as just wanted a general idea on how it’s effected other people

It’s perfectly ok to ask these questions Angellou and yes peppers are low carb and nutritious. For snacks, although they are high fat and not wise to have many, pork crackling is nice. I have a fun size chocolate bar so I don’t feel too deprived because I’m not a fan of dark chocolate. Some ice lollies are low carb and the little milk ones are nice. I aim for less than 10-12 carbs for a snack and if you look at products carefully, you’ll find little treats you like and can have. Testing your blood will demonstrate if you’re tolerating them. I like seafood so keep prawns, calamari and smoked salmon in the fridge. I know it’s expensive but I’m not having other things.
Flavoured chicken fillets are nice, low carb snacks too and can be bought in packs from supermarkets.

Initially it can feel like we’ve had to leave normal life and eating behind but once you learn and understand more, it won’t seem so bad. Good luck.

Thank you so much you have been very helpful how about them sea food sticks

Humus, soar cream and chive, cheese, guacamole, cheese and onion all except some salsas as they have loads of suger added to reduce the acidity of the tomatoes

Hi ~ I love smoked salmon seafood sticks ~ 2.49g carbs of which 0.75g sugars. I'll have one or two as a snack ~ with a salad ~ in a Protein roll ~ or in a wholemeal Protein Wrap.
