At last I am getting there BG so far since change of insulin on Thursday very good I had a feeling Levemir was not working then I had red marks on my skin I showed the nurse after showing dietician and they changed insulin imediatly also I have been struggling to cope as in 2010 my sort of partner passed away and although I have adult children they really do not want to know neither do friends as they are elderly and have there own problems one told me to shutup i take her out every Saturday and she talks non stop for Christmas she bought me a box of chocolates as part of my Christmas present. Bournemouth have a counsellor for diabetic patients to help them cope and I will see her at my next visit I am able to email the hospital and have the accu check which works out my doses for me wish I had asked to go to Bournemouth ages ago

Great to hear that the change of insulin is starting to work well for you Christine, must be such a relief after all you have been through. I have heard nothing but good reports about Bournemouth, so you are definitely onto a winner there 🙂 Hope the good BG levels continue, and remember you will always have lots of people to talk to here, whether about your diabetes or anything else 🙂

Hear Hear - Bournemouth is a centre of excellence for diabetes.

I'm pleased things are looking up for you Christine.

Glad things are better since the change in insulin. I have also had problems with Levemir causing red lumps at injection sites however i discovered quite by accident that it stopped when they changed my asthma treatment from serotide to Fostair.
