Just got my latest HbA1c results it came back as 48
last March it was 98, and 3 months ago it was 64

a positive for me having been out of control for years
Blood pressure and weight both down also, so stopping / reducing medication
GP is referring me back to Diabetic Clinic
but has reduced my insulin (see what hospital think about reducing changing medication further)as obviously a Hba1c of 48 is a big change from 98 as it was last March

cholestrol was good to @ 3.1

Congratulations on your fantastic progress. Well done!

Well done @goodybags .
You have certainly got to grips with this.
Keep the good practice going.

So 3 months further on
my latest Hba1c was very similar to Feb when it was was 48 (Last time it was 52)
plus Ive recently had a C-Pep test to confirm my own pancreas is producing plenty of natural insulin

spoke at length to DSN who although I’ve never actually met her in person has been great support
and we have a plan for reduction and hopefully stopping insulin injections soon...

she reckons once I’m off the insulin im possibly going to loose even more weight and faster.
we’re not going to increase my dose of ozempic currently (they were considering doubling to dose)
however as I’m already under the DMO clinic
being treated for Diabetic Retinopathy (for about 4 yrs now)
I already had the Diabetic eye damage before I started on Ozempic

But Tonight feeling good
Hba1c Good
BP Good
But still trying to get my BMI down (currently 30.6)

Well done! Keep it up! Great results.

Latest Hba1c apparently was 50, (haven’t spoken to Dr or DSN to confirm this)
but spoke to receptionist who advised this over the phone a few days ago,
I'm thinking be nice to get the next result under 48 (it was 48 back in February then crept up to 52)
but since then as haven’t been quite so strict with my diet, been eating bread again (a wholemeal)
also some chips dinner kebab (inc the naan) and the food of the devil (McDonald’s)
still the weight loss is still good having lost 31KG in 8 months, and now I’ve shrunk quite dramatically
Blood pressure (I self check is actually a lot lower) might have to speak to GP / DSN about that as I think a reduction I’n medication might be required,
Cholesterol is also down further as now 3.0
