Type 2
Good Morning, sorry to bother people, however im at a loss with gp and dn. I am type 2 diet controlled before lockdown daily bloods were average 7 - 8.5! during lockdown 12-19!
I currently take 25mg empagliflozin & (5mg linaglipton just started), I am currently in work as a key worker (security) but not like the other key workers. my wife is a key worker and we follow all guidance and guidelines as well, however my routine has been disrupted due to building closed so less walking I do go out after work as well, but not enough steps to bring sugars down. anything else I can do to bring sugars down, as anxiety takes my sugars up as well. gp and dn said I should give linaglipton time to work how long should it take. my morning bloods were 19.5 @ 0800 a bit worried with sudden spike

The obvious question is what are you eating? Low carb eating will help keep your glucose levels down, especially if you’re walking less.

Hello @kopite89 welcome to the forum,🙂 Your BS`s (Blood Sugars) are rather high and as @Anitram says kidney function can be compromised. The obvious question as @Thebearcametoo and @Anitram asked without any hesitation is what foods are you eating? If you can post a typical days food intake including all liquids and snacks we may have a better idea on how to help you including your test figures and what time you test. Thankyou for joining the forum apologies are not needed we will work with you to try and reduce your levels.
