Many people can quickly recall a point in their lives when seemingly everything changed.
And for most, their life-altering moment occurred as a result of a choice.
Matt Vincent wasn’t so fortunate.
He didn’t wake up one morning as a kid at Myrtle Beach and decide to have diabetes as if picking out a cereal box at the kitchen table.
Instead, the disease chose him at age 10.
A fun-filled family vacation turned into a mystery-marred nightmare.
“I just remember that I was eating breakfast and then I was throwing up,” Vincent said. “I couldn’t hold anything down.”
