I went to ASDA today to get a few things for grandsons birthday party and he likes some of the different breads they have there, we all do.I wads looking at them and asked if there was anyway they could tell me what the carb count in some of the different breads and they said yes nobother away she went snd came back with the ones I asked about and said if I wanted any more next time I was in just ask as she can put it up on the computer and get the ones I wanted.
Now thats good survice I thought I realy like there own baked breads but have been having bother getting the carb count right but now lookes like Ill be going there moreoften.
Give them a go:D

Nice to hear that the big supermarkets are beginning to give the service we need, glad they were helpful.

John.

Good Stuff - I've tried the same at Morrisons - no joy, but they did understand why I asked and said they'd pass on the info to head office. My local Tesco on the other hand were worse than useless ... no help whatsoever and no attempt to do so. Have yet to try Sainsburys!

I used to work in Asda bakery in my student days and this info is easily accessed in all bakeries so feel free to ask in any store 🙂

If you can get hold on the one with the brain cell behind the Teesco nakery counter - they do have all this info in a loose-leaf binder. Furthermore, Safeways definitely used to have it, so why haven't Morrison's got it now!

Sainsbury's used to publish a paperback book, with the nutritional info for all theur own brand stuff - it cost me ?1 in c. 1980 ......

that's really great to know...I've never even thought about asking before! I'll definitely try this next time. I wonder if Tesco's are as good....!

Pat on the back for ASDA.good to hear it
