Is this what we call hypoglycemia? Or is something else? Answers below if anybody would like to chip in.

 
Once you get into the article, further down, they start referring to Hypoglycaemia in the text, though the sub headings are still 'Insulin shock' Maybe the authors feel some people can’t get their tongues round the word Hypoglycaemia, or maybe they want to distinguish it from Hyperglycaemia.
 
In everyday life people certainly get hypo and hyper confused. If I had a pound for every time someone said a child was "hypo" meaning they think that they are hyperactive, I would be moderately well off
