Arggh! Strips Cockup

I have one unopened pot and one pot with a strip missing for Bayer Contour going begging if anybody wants them. Dr Idiot put the wrong ones on my prescription and I didn't notice till I tried to use one. She should have given me Contour NEXT strips, not just Contour. PM me with your details if you want them as, if I take them back to the pharmacy, they'll be obliged to destroy them and that would be a waste. First come first served of course.

how annoying ! hope you manage to give them to someone so they dont get binned at the pharmacy !
 
Just had a call from Dr Idiot ref the strips. "Oh" she says, "there are different kinds then?" Sigh! But she's doing me a new prescription at least.
 
I have accumulated a few boxes of injection needles as when I tick the boxes on my prescription counterfoil for a repeat prescription of Novorapid insulin, I sometimes get a prescription for Novofine needles.
I've learned to check before I leave the surgery. The receptionist says it's easier to take the needles anyway, as I'll use them up eventually, and put in another request for the insulin
 
True that, I had the same problem till I got them not to include things like that till I ask for them. I have a 1 litre storage box full of new needles waiting for me to use them. I'll get through them in time, but sadly, if nobody wants these strips they'll go to waste as I can't use them.
 
That would be a real shame Alison. I am sure some T2s who have to buy theirs would really appreciate them. Usually the manufacturers will supply a free meter, so at least they could be ahead of the game with your strips.

For the first time ever my repeat went awol yesterday. It had been sanctioned and issued but never arrived at the pharmacy and the surgery have no idea where it went or how.
So a duplicate has been issued for me to collect either today or tomorrow.
Pharmacy were fab in trying to track it down though and getting the surgery to do duplicate prescription.
