Are you susceptible to misinformation?

20/20!

Also, without undue modesty, I have beautiful hands and if things had turned out differently I could have been an international jet-setting hand model.

I got 17 but a few of them were complete guesses. I don't read much news these days and I am not particularly interested in the internal politics of the USA

19/20 id like to know which one i got wrong

16/20 and apparently I am sceptical! Not apparently, I am a very sceptical.person lol
I dunno how many out of 20 I got, didn't notice that score but apparently I'm good at spotting fake news and also sceptical. And there's me always thinking I could quite easily be cynical - not sceptical!

18/20 for me. And apparently I may be a bit sceptical when reading the news too @trophywench - but I spotted all the obvious nonsense it seems.

That was fun. As I expected, my score was 19/20 and I am a sceptic, which is certainly true.

You’ll probably find the answer to that question here: https://www.cam.ac.uk/stories/misinformation-susceptibility-test

The questions were developed using generative AI, so I’d imagine they had a pretty clear idea about which news story headlines they had made up, and which were genuine articles/research studies.
Thanks Mike, couldn't find it there either.

You'd think those clever people at Cambridge would begin the test with the definition of what they are testing, to make sure we are not misinformed.

The little bottles one was a toss-up.
I got 19, with 'bottles' being the only contentious one. Perhaps we guessed differently, and that made the difference.

I chose they'd be removing them 😉

No spoilers! Yes I thought there were a few that could go either way.

Well they created the headlines didn’t they. So they know which ‘recent study says…’ they made up, and which headlines were based on studies / evidence that exist? That’s my guess anyway.
