Have you ever wondered how the self-management of type 2 diabetes may have affected your family and friends?

The present study is looking to recruit participants who offer support for individuals diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (T2D). The study aims to examine their attitudes and views, how they are told to support T2D patients and explore any additional pressures the current COVID-19 pandemic has potentially created.

The study will involve individual interviews and participants who decide to take part in the study may find it beneficial to talk through their lived experiences. The investigation further aims to improve the understanding and assist in the development of interventions that support T2D patients and there social support!

If you or someone you know is;

• Over 18

• Supports an individual diagnosed with T2D

• Does not suffer from the condition themselves

And would be interested in taking part or have any questions, please email me at J.E.Brown@2020.ljmu.ac.uk.

Alternatively, please contact the supervisor of the study, Dr Lisa Newton, programme leader MSc Health Psychology at l.m.newson@ljmu.ac.uk

Thank-you!
