Is there a pump that can be controlled via an APP? due for a new pump soon, and thought it would be more discreet than pulling my pump out. I am also on the Libre, again using an APP, so Bluetooth monitor's just wouldn't get used.
Thanks in advance.

The Dana RS isn’t offered very widely, but it has a smartphone app that can act as a remote control I think.

As for other pumps with full remotes, I think you would be looking at Roche (Combo, Insight and possibly the new Solo when it launches), Omnipod, or possibly Medtrum.

Alternatively you could opt for one of the pumps that works with Android APS and #wearenotwaiting

Hi @megga , I am also researching new pumps as I am due a change in the new year

In addition to being controlled by an app on a phone, the DANA RS also allows you to manually enter your glucose level, taken from your Libre, when doing a Bolus calculation. This should reduce the amount of finger pricks enormously, as at present I have to do a finger prick at each meal. This was my main motivation for changing from the Combo. I have always liked the Bluetooth connection of the Combo, leaving it tucked away all day and doing everything from the handset.

I have read that some find the cartridge change fiddly, but it gets easier. I thought the Combo was fiddly when I first started so I am willing to put up with that.

Food for thought.

Did you mean Dana RS @SB2015? I thought you’d been having conversations about that for Medtronic? Or do they both offer that feature?

I was pretty set on the Medtronic @everydayupsanddowns , but now that I have found I can do a remote Bolus on the Dana RS, I am tempted that way. I don’t think that it currently links to a sensor, but if it later becomes possible they are able to update it. They did tell me it has some open ...... (which of course went over my head) and that a number of people are doing their own looping with it, in which you can set your own target level (which I know the Med 670 does not allow and is set very high)

I still have 6 months to make my decision.
Who knows what will happen in that time.

Android APS? (One of the OpenAPS flavours). Possibly including Libre via Miao Miao?

I think the person I know using AAPS on DanaRS uses via Dexcom, but I know Libre can be used with Combo, so maybe you can with Dana too?

Thanks Mike
I think the AAPS is likely to be behind me at the moment, so I am focusing on the two features
- manual entry of glucose
- remote bolusing to pump.

If at a later date there is a link up between the Dana and the Dexcom I will look at that then. With the Dana any changes during the four years are made via the app, so no need to wait four years for the developments. (Do your u get the impressions I have been listening to a Dana Rep!!)

I have bought a new phone which will link with my Libre, and I am ready to update the swiper at the next sensor change. I am feeling like I am (very slowly) catching up with (a very small part of) modern technology!!
Well modern for me!!

Sorry @megga , I feel I have hijacked your thread. However
I hope that the info included is of some use to you.
