Hi

Interested to chat with people using Dana RS pump? In particular, wondering what their infusion sets are like? I'm due for pump upgrade but using Medtonic Mio Advance infusion set which is great - don't know if I want to try something else...

Hope someone willing to chat.

Thanks Cath

I have only just started with the Medtronic Mio Advance, which seem very easy to use. My only concern is that the inserted device is used just once. I have asked for a box of the others that have a reusable inserted to see what they are like.

Sorry I can’t help with any other sensors.

I use the DANA RS and love it. I use the O sets and I think they’re great. I was initially non-plussed by the fact they rotate but once I used them I realised how great that was.

I’ve had zero issues with them. The adhesive is fab too and leaves no black marks.

Is the cannula plastic or metal?

It’s plastic in the O set and goes straight in (not angled). There is a choice of cannula lengths.

There are other angled sets that also have a plastic cannula, and there’s also at least one set with a metal needle.

Was that autocorrected from ‘inserter device’ Sue?

I always preferred Silhouettes on Medtronic. A reusable inserter (so less waste) and angled Teflon cannula.

On the tSlim I am using their equivalents of Mios, and trying to recycle as much of the inserter as I can.

Indeed it was.
The new cannulas with the reusable device arrived today. Smaller and the cannulas take up less space. Very similar to Combo ones. I might try the angled ones, but wondered whether that used up more of the available abdomen each time. So many choices to make!!
