Hi newbie here!.. Desperatly need some advice, i too have had my licence revoked as of 15th February this year! I get warnings through the day that hypo's are occuring but it's when i go into a deep sleep that i have no warning and require assistance from my gorgeous partner with gluco gel in hand and have 4 such incidences in the past 12 months. (not once have i had a hypo at the wheel of my car in the 22 years of driving) (never had an accident either or points for speeding!) I am awaiting a insulin pump which is taking forever as i don't seem to have a very good diabetes care team (they say they want me to try one but in the last 16 months they have not even applied for funding! Now im pretty sure that if i had had the pump fitted within the first 8 months i would have not had my licence revoked for a at least a year (so i kind of put some of the blame on my care team, i can never get an appt with the DN it's always a 2-3 month wait which to be honest is not acceptable even more so when you are constantly leaving ansaphone messages for her to contact me regarding the revoke of licence! sorry just feeling very down at the moment as nothing appears to be going right! Because i live in a rural area with buses that go only every 1hr to get to the train station and i work 2 towns away it is putting or has done over the last few weeks more stress with adapting to this loss of independance, also i did have to do some driving as part of my job which now i can't do, there may be a chance that i have to give up my job! (i feel such a failure!)
So if there is anyone out there that can offer me any advice regarding the pump issues and the driving issues i would be soooo grateful for the advice as i really don't know where to go or what to do next.
Many thanks in advance
