Just wondering if anyone else Type 2 has experienced a sudden lowering of readings for no apparent reason? I am eating as normal in fact probably not as strict as i once was maybe around 90-120 carbs and exercise (walking). I usually get readings of around high 5s before meals and 7s or 8s post meal. This last week i am getting readings as low as 4.3 pre meal and maybe 6s or 7s post meal. I cut my meds in Jan from 2000mg to 1000mg Metformin SR and my sugar levels went up by around 1.0. But this sudden drop to lowest ever has me confused. Just wondered if anyone has experienced or could point to reason why.

I’m type 1 but the weather changing has affected me

There are multiple things which can affect our blood sugars.
The weather is one, lack of stress, more exercise, ...
I found my blood sugars significantly lower after my covid vaccination (others found then higher).
I am Type 1 but the same kind of things affect our blood sugars.

Hi @Loobyloo T1 too, weather is a major factor with a lot of Diabetics the warmer
it is the treatment alters, your figures at the moment are well under control and
you have to be congratulated on that. 4.3 is probably as low as you need to go so
check regularly and maybe increase your carbs slightly to bring you into a more
comfortable range, It maybe worth having a talk with your DSN or DN at the surgery
just to get some advice and let them know of your concerns, nothing to panic about
at the moment but testing is the key, take care stay safe.

Thanks everyone..I really dont think its the weather as been pretty much the same as normal or even chilly at times here..certainly no hot days. Had my jab about 6 weeks ago so don't think that. My exercise routine has stayed pretty much the same for months. So bit of a mystery.

@Loobyloo - have you been wearing different coloured socks recently?
Because there are so many things which can affect our blood sugars, sometimes, we never know what is the cause and it could be something like feeling more chilled due to wearing our favourite socks.
