Hi everyone. I do not qualify for weight loss injectables from my GP. My specialist nurse recommends an injectable, but the GP does not do private prescriptions. I am happy to pay, but online pharmacies will not prescribe due to my Type II diabetes.
My BMI is high at 34, and I need to lose much more weight. I use an online programme and am losing weight, albeit slowly, but I am plateauing and would like to use an injectable.
Does anyone have a similar story, and if so, is there a way I can get a legitimate prescription?
 
hi @Kevin2025 have you just tried high street pharmacies or-online? I know someforum members have
tagging in @ColinUK as I know he was / is prescribed on a private prescription even though he was T2

I use Pharmulous. Fill out their consultation form accurately and honestly and see if they will prescribe.

You say that no private pharmacy will prescribe because of your being T2 but what are they actually saying is the reason for their refusal?

I have tried three online pharmacies, and they all say that their policy is not to provide the medication if the patient has T2. They say this is because of potential hypos, and they cannot monitor it. I suspect they have so many sales that they can avoid ones where there is even a small risk. This is frustrating, as I know precisely what my blood glucose reading is daily and what to do if it drops, which it has never done. I will try Phaemulous as you suggest.
