Hi all,

I am just wondering the best way to start my day food-wise.
I had heard that cereal such as Special K was good because the
sugar content was released slowly. But I always seem to be ravenous
first thing and a small bowl of cereal isn't enough.:(
This is most probably because I walk around the bay first thing.
I would love to get the balance right. Not feel weak because I haven't
eaten enough or poorly because my breakfast isn't healthy or has
more sugar than is good for me. I'd appreciate any ideas on brekky
that anyone might have.
Thanks
Kathyxx

Shredded Wheat........Blueberrys and half a Bananna.....Semi Skimmed milk

It works for me.

2 weetabix 1 sliced banana with semi skimmed milk. OR
scrambles eggs on a slice of brown bread OR
porriage i have mine with a slight touch of cinnamon on or a dab of honey, half a glass of oj always goes down well to, theres a juice out there call ACIA juice as well apparently that keeps the energy up and contains omega 3 and omega 6

weetabix or shreded wheat and fruit, porridge with a handfull of sultanas or raisins in it, whole meal toast and some fruit, if you can get hold of the reuced suagr & salt baked beans on toast.

As long as you diet is generally well balanced, the odd fry up or pancakes as a treat is nice too!

I have the mini shredded wheat OR the mini weetabix with a sliced banana and sliced strawberries semi skimmed milk, if I'm not feeling hungry, I will have 2 slices of Burgen soya and linseed bread toasted with New Zealand MANUKA honey.

lol well compaired to this lot mine is a bit different. i have 2 shredded wheat with just milk on and then i have 4 rounds of toast with beans and cheese on it.

however for most id say the shredded wheat is the way to go 🙂

I have bowl of porridge with semi skimmed milk and two slices toast.

Museli (no added sugar) and a banana, then porridge when I get to work (can't guarantee being in the office all morning for a mid morning snack but I find this breakfast gets me through to lunchtime - and maintain a healthy weight)

Hi most people have cereal and toast i think , Weetabix , Shreddies , Cornflakes , Rice Krispies , Bran Flakes , Porridge is slow release , Granary toast or Wholemeal. I personally dont eat Carbs so I would have scrambled egg or something like that .

Porridge, porridge and if in doubt porridge - If I'm away and they can't make porridge, then Bran Flakes - either made with semi-skimmed milk.

Porridge gives you all you need, energy, fibre, and there is no messing around with the stuff, a ?1.50 packet will do 22 breakfasts as well.. Who said I was tight? 🙄

If its a really special occassion, the a dash of single malt on the porridge 😉

The next thing you'll be wearing a Kilt:D

I like porridge too. I pay 79p a bag for mine. Sometimes have a teeny bit (half a teaspoon) of honey in mine. I can't do it every day.

I have two (kilts) what's the problem there?

Ah, I like the course ground stuff, and opt for one of the main makes, true if you just want a bag of porridge oats then they are half the price...

Even better value :D

kippers just smell the place out for hours afterwards

Thanks for the help..brekky won't be boring again!

Thanks for the ideas.....you guys are great!
Weetabix and Shredded Wheat seem the way to go
kippers don't sound bad either but will probably wait until
I'm alone for those don't want the boys complaining about
fishy smells!🙄
Bye for now KathyXX
