I don't have a particularly sweet tooth but it's nice to have a slice of cake or something sweet once in a while especially if there are visitors.

I have a few baking books but most seem to call for cake tin sizes of 8"+ which result in 12+ portions. In the past I've used a 6" tin and got the calculator out to reduce the ingredients to fit this size. I've always reduced the sugar content because as I say I don't have a particularly sweet tooth and there does seem to be a trend (in my view!) to over sweeten.

Is anyone aware of any resources that I can look at that offer tested recipes that produce smaller amounts and less sweet results?
Thanks.

@Martin62 bakes low carb cakes every week and shares photos of his creations each week.
As far as smaller portions, I use the same recipes for loaf or circular cakes but bake cupcakes which I freeze. They only take a minute or two to defrost each one in the microwave when I want one and keep far longer than if I make a large cake.

Hi there, take a look at sugarfreelondoner website , that's where I mainly get my recipes from.
